EDISON, NJ-Seven commercial and residential properties in five New Jersey counties will be auctioned on Thursday, September 22 at 1 p.m. at the Sheraton Raritan Center, 125 Raritan Center Drive here, says Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Co.

Included in the auction are: an 18,000-square-foot former Charlie Brown’s restaurant at 4591 Route 21 in Franklin Township; a 1,496-square-foot former bank branch at 42-44 Main Street in Bloomingdale; a 370-square-foot former bank building at 50 South Street (adjoining the Village Shopping Center) in New Providence; a retail/professional building at 516 Stokes Road in Medford; and a 5.5-acre commercial lot at the corner of Monmouth Road and Jacobstown-New Egypt Road in North Hanover. The last four will be sold regardless of price.

“Any real estate investor will find something of value out of this selection of properties,” says Max Spann Jr., president and CEO of the firm, in a statement. “Regardless of whether you prefer residential or commercial, developed or undeveloped, there are opportunities at this auction.”

The restaurant includes the original 1850 bar, stained glass, artwork and memorabilia, as well as all of the kitchen equipment, tables and chairs, says Spann’s website.

Also being auctioned are a single-family home in Spring Lake being sold on order by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and a 40-foot by 209-foot lot zoned for residential use at 50 Little Street in Matawan.

A 5,500-square-foot freestanding retail building in Franklin sold in the first quarter of this year for approximately $65 per square feet to $70 per square feet, according to LoopNet. A 3,900-square-foot historic building in Medford is for sale with a $399,000 price tag, the site says.

The second of two property previews will be held Tuesday, September 13 from noon to 2:00 p.m.
