PORTLAND, OR-Reading Truck Body, out of Reading, PA, has leased 52,000 square feet at 4436 NE 158th Ave. here. This is a relocation and expansion from the company’s current location at NE 148th and Airport Way, which is currently under the name of ABC Distribution LLC.

ABC was purchased by the Reading Group LLC in July 2008 and acted as a distributor for Reading. The company is currently under a rebranding plan to identify all former ABC locations under the Reading Truck Body name.

CB Richard EllisAndy Kangas represented the tenant. Kangas tells GlobeSt.com that he cannot disclose lease terms at this time, but he points out that the former location was for 40,000 square feet.

“ABC is a local manufacturer whose core business is customizing truck bodies for fleet operators in Oregon and SW Washington,” explains Kangas, VP of CBRE’s Portland office. “They will employ approximately 50 people now with employment growth projected to be upwards of 100 by 2014.”

According to a prepared statement, Reading Truck Body is “excited to help the community grow by offering employment opportunities and support to the economy.” Ownership of 4436 NE 158th Ave., according to Kangas, is MCS Properties.
