MIAMI-As the Downtown Miami market awaits the million square feet of office space 600 Brickell will add to the mix, the Southeast Financial Center is among the older buildings on the market working to secure tenants. Southeast Financial Center just attracted yet another law firm to its office tower.

In its expansion into the Miami office market, McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm with an 80-year history, signed a long-term lease at the 1.225 million square-foot tower. Florida’s tallest and largest office building is now home to 12 national law firms.

“Miami has long been home to numerous national law firms,” Donald Cartwright, senior vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle, tells GlobeSt.com. “However, with an even greater emphasis being placed on Miami establishing itself as an international gateway, Downtown Miami and Brickell have successfully transferred new interest into square footage and now serve as South Florida's ‘law hub’.”
