MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-Equity Office has executed a long term lease with Symantec Corp. to occupy a full building of 135,000 square feet at Mountain View Gateway Center, at 500 E. Middlefield Rd. here. The technology giant is expected to take occupancy sometime in the second quarter 2012.

Symantec already leases the adjacent building at Mountain View Gateway Center, a four-story, class-A office/R&D building totaling 101,000 square feet, which Equity Office leased to Symantec a year ago. Equity Office could not provide further lease terms to GlobeSt.com at this time.

“Symantec is a great company to work with,” says John Moe, market managing director of Equity Office. “They have been long-term customers and we are pleased that we were able to expand them within Mountain View Gateway Center and the Equity Office portfolio.”

Todd Hedrick of Equity Office represented the landlord in a direct transaction with Symantec.
