Marvell Tech. Group Picks New Data Center

SEATTLE-After an extensive West Coast selection process, Marvell Technology Group has chosen the Benaroya Co.’s South Hill Data Center to meet its future active computing and disaster recovery requirements. The South Hill Data Center-North Building is a 300,000-square-foot facility that was completed and fully commissioned in July.

According to a prepared statement, the company selected South Hill, just south of Seattle, because “it is a state-of-the-art facility that met its search criteria.” That criterion includes: Extremely efficient and highly reliable critical infrastructure; Very low total cost of operation; Environmental sensitivity—LEED Gold Certified; Scalable and expandable to meet future growth requirements; Secure, private 92-acre campus setting; Excellent fiber-optic connections; and convenient access to SeaTac International Airport.
