SPRINGDALE, OH-Humana Inc., a health care company, has agreed to lease 175,000 square feet at the Executive Centre office complex here. The company is growing its RightSource business, a prescription home-delivery service, and specialty pharmacy operations in the state.
The complex includes three office buildings that reportedly rent for about $11 per square foot.
Executive Centre consists of three class A office buildings ranging in size from 138,835 square feet to 173,379 square feet. Space at the complex, at the intersection of Princeton Pike and Merchant Street, reportedly rents for about $11 per square foot.
Alan Martin, general manager at the Ohio offices, said in a statement that the company expects to ocupy the new space later this year with about 200 associates scheduled to move in by spring 2012. Another 450 workers will move in by the end of 2012.
Humana has two other offices in the area, a regional headquarters and customer service center in E. Walnut Hills and a pharmacy distribution center in West Chester. The company will have about 1,800 employees in the Cincinnati area when the third office is complete.
In the statement, company officials said the growth of the mail-order delivery and health plan membership have created increased demand and the need for a new facility. William Fleming, a company VP, said the company chose Ohio in 2008 to locate its pharmacy operations. “We look forward to continuing to service our members nationwide from this location,” Fleming said.
