Isis, BioMed Open 176,000-SF R&D Facility

CARLSBAD, CA-The build-to-suit corporate and research facility consolidates the majority of Isis’ operations into a single facility.

CARLSBAD, CA-Isis Pharmaceuticals Inc. and San Diego-based BioMed Realty Trust Inc. have completed the JV’s new 176,000-square-foot build-to-suit corporate and research facility on Gazelle Court in the Carlsbad Oaks North Business Park in Carlsbad. The complex consolidates the majority of Isis’ operations into a single facility.

Isis and BioMed broke ground on the new building in June 2010, as GlobeSt.com previously reported. “Our new facility combines functional and efficient design features to meet our current and future needs and foster our collaborative approach to drug discovery and development,” said Dr. Stanley Crooky, chairman and CEO of Iris at the ground breaking ceremony.
