LONG BEACH, CA-Vestar Property Management has hired Jeff Miyaoka as regional director of Property Management, a post in which Miyaoka will be responsible for all property management functions for Vestar’s California portfolio. R. Patrick McGinley, vice president of Vestar Property Management, cites Miyaoka’s “extensive background in the retail industry” and says that he “will play an instrumental role in the strategic direction of our Southern California operations on behalf of our clients and partners.”
Before joining Vestar, Miyaoka held various positions with Developers Diversified Realty, Kimco Realty, The Irvine Co., Madison Marquette and Trizec Hahn. As vice president of operations for the Irvine Co., Miyaoka was responsible for portfolio management and strategic planning for more than eight million square feet of retail, transitioning the management from a contracted third-party to an in-house structure.
Miyaoka is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a certified shopping center manager. He earned his bachelor of business administration from San Diego State University and is a licensed real estate broker in California.
