FAIRFIELD, NJ-The nearly complete, $3 million renovation of Greenbrook Executive Center at 100 Passaic Avenue here has earned the Grand TOBY, The Outstanding Building of the Year honor from the Building Owners and Managers Association at BOMA’s annual awards dinner on October 26.

The 203,000-square-foot project had been previously been announced as taking top honors for renovation in its size category, but the overall award was a surprise, says Joseph Romano, a principal with owner Accordia Realty, and who helped to build the project in 1988 as a regional partner with the Seltzer Organization.

“The judging panel looked at all the buildings,” Romano tells GlobeSt.com. “The overall award has to do with the condition of the property, its management, how eco-friendly it is, and the community involvement. Without telling anyone, they then present the grand award.”
