LOS ANGELES-GlobeSt.com exclusively learns that Cushman & Wakefield has added three brokerage professionals to its Greater Los Angeles ranks in a move designed to strengthen and enhance the company’s industrial platform in the Western US region. Mike Foley has been appointed senior director based in the firm’s Long Beach, CA office. David Hess has been appointed senior director based in Downtown Los Angeles, and David Young joins the firm as a senior associate also based Downtown.

All three professionals recently held positions with CB Richard Ellis. CBRE passed on providing GlobeSt.com with a comment at this time.

“We are delighted to welcome Mike, Dave, and David to Cushman & Wakefield as the latest members of our Industrial Brokerage team,” says Joe Vargas, executive vice president and area leader for Cushman & Wakefield’s Western region. “The addition of these three high caliber professionals underscores our commitment to grow our industrial footprint in Greater Los Angeles as we continue to aggressively execute our strategic growth initiative in the region.”

Vargas adds that the team “has an impeccable reputation and a record of accomplishment that is among the top in our business.”

Mary Marx, senior managing director of corporate occupier and investor services at C&W, adds that “Demand for owner and investor services has taken-off in the past few years as the marketplace has evolved. Each of these three individuals adds an important ingredient to our industrial team and we look forward to working with them.”

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Foley was a senior vice president with CBRE, specializing in the representation of institutional landlords, corporate tenants and developers desiring to acquire, lease, purchase and dispose of industrial real estate. His active listings involve more than five million square feet of industrial warehouse distribution facilities located throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.

Previously, Foley was senior vice president with Trammell Crow Co. where he was part of the integrated marketing and property management team focused on leasing institutional space. Prior to that, Foley was a senior vice president with Colliers Seeley International where he represented private ownership groups in the marketing and acquisition of industrial properties in the Southern California area.

Hess, also a former senior vice president with CBRE, has represented a number of institutional owners in leasing and marketing many significant industrial parks in the Commerce/Vernon and Mid-Counties markets. His previous responsibilities in those markets included overseeing the leasing activity for more than seven million square feet of institutionally owned class-A industrial space. Prior to that, Hess was a SVP with Trammell Crow where he was part of the integrated marketing/property management team focused on leasing institutional space.

Young also joins from CBRE, in the brokerage services group, where he specialized in industrial leasing services since 2007. Prior to that, he held a position with Advanced Realtors in Boston.

“Many of us have worked with Mike Foley and Dave Hess throughout our careers and have a great deal of respect for their track record of accomplishments," explains Eric Hinkelman, senior managing director and Orange County market leader for Cushman & Wakefield.
