ISELIN, NJ-Ansell Limited will relocate its global headquarters from Red Bank to the brand-new 43,210-square-foot Metrotop Plaza II building at 111 Wood Avenue South here, announced Newmark Knight Frank, which represented the tenant.
The move allows Ansell, which had been expanding in phases in Red Bank since 1997, to consolidate into a more efficient space, says Jamie Drummond, a Newmark Knight Frank principal. Ansell, a health and safety protection solutions provider, will become the first tenant for the building.
“They were in their space for the better part of 13 years,” Drummond says. “They were looking for an upgraded image and a better use of space. This is a brand-new building in Metropark.”
Drummond declined to give rental rates, but asking rents for class A office space in Iselin range from $21 per square foot to $35 per square foot, according to LoopNet listings.
The 255,000-square-foot Metrotop Plaza II was completed this year, and boasts a two-story atrium connecting the building to Metrotop Plaza I. Ansell will receive signage on the building, which features exposure to the Garden State Parkway. Jones Lang LaSalle represented the property owner, Atlantic Realty Development Co. “That particular submarket has remained active,” Drummond says, especially for tenants looking for a large block of space. Ansell will move into the space in April and June.
