Westwood Completes 46,552-SF Campus Move Downtown

CHICAGO-The college moved up the street from four separate floors at 17 N. State to one full floor at One N. State. The campus president talks about the benefits of the move.

CHICAGO-Westwood College has finalized its move into One N. State St., a consolidation onto one floor at the building from four floors at 17 N. State. The move also allowed the school to use open space, natural light and energy efficiencies to maximize a gain to students.

Westwood is a division of Denver-based Alta College, and provides degree program in business, design, technology, industrial services, justice and health care. Debbie Plemons, campus president at the local campus, tells GlobeSt.com that the firm’s space at 17 N. State was too fragmented. “We had been on part of the second floor, all of the third, part of the fourth and part of the ninth, basically expanding whenever space would open up,” she says.
