LOS ANGELES-William Robertson has joined Cushman & Wakefield as a managing director. In that role, he will represent clients on all aspects of real estate strategic planning; space needs analysis, program development, design, construction, and relocation.

Robertson will support Cushman & Wakefield’s brokerage group as well as the company’s corporate occupier and investor services division. Robertson is known for his unique and innovative approach to client service which leverages proprietary graphic and interactive tools to bind the corporate vision with real estate requirements, according to C&W.

In addition, Robertson has “extensive experience in integrated strategic planning, a visual and interactive survey process uncovering visual preferences, location needs, size needs, and growth patterns in order to more precisely match clients to what’s available in the market.” According to Cushman & Wakefield, the process “reduces the difficulty and margin of error in the complex process of matching clients with office space, industrial space, or development potentials.”

“We are delighted to have William on board supporting project management, strategic planning, and brokerage services in the Los Angeles area,” explains Joe Vargas, executive vice president and area leader of the west region. “His focus on cross-functional team building to address complex client requirements offers important value and is a great fit for Cushman & Wakefield’s collaborative approach to problem solving.”

Robertson advises clients from various industries including finance, technology, medical, entertainment, and law. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he was most recently a senior vice president and group leader with Grubb & Ellis Inc. From 2006 to 2011, he served as a director and group partner with Studley Inc.
