RUNNEMEDE, NJ–Roto-Rooter has taken 10,800 square feet of flex space at 175 Ninth Ave. at the Runnemede Corporate Center here, says CBRE, which represented the tenant. The plumbing services provider is expanding from more than 3,000 square feet, an unusually large increase in space, particularly in an era of consolidation.
“This is a great location,” says Dan McGovern of CBRE. “And going from 3,000 to 10,000 square feet is a significant jump.”
The Runnemede Corporate Center consists of seven buildings and additional land that is available for future development. The property, owned by Richards & Robbins, has immediate access to Routes 168 and 42, I-295 and Exit 3 of the New Jersey Turnpike. Other tenants include JC Penney, Stryker Orthopaedics and the Scotts Company.
Roto-Rooter moved into the space in November. The financial details of the transaction were not undisclosed, but LoopNet lists asking rents elsewhere in the complex at $9 per square foot.
