FIT Renews, Stays in Fashion At 236 W. 27th St.

NEW YORK CITY-The design and fashion school renewed several blocks of space, used as administrative offices, at 236 W. 27th St.—getting a jump on some that were due to expire soon.

NEW YORK CITY-The Fashion Institute of Technology has renewed and extended its lease at 236 W. 27th St., where the fashion and design school maintains offices. The lease, which is for 45,130 square feet in the building, is for a 7-year term.

Roughly one third of FIT’s space in the building was expiring, which necessitated the renewal, a spokesman tells GlobeSt.com. Other blocks of space that the school occupies there had varying expiration dates and were bundled and renewed.
