NEW YORK CITY-Experimental marketing firm Relevent, a division of MDC Partners, has nearly tripled its size in a relocation to Hudson Square. The firm is moving into 10,095 square feet at 10 Hudson Sq., the Trinity Real Estate-owned class A office building also known as 160 Varick St.
With the move, MDC Partners agencies will occupy 111,288 square feet in the 350,000-square-foot building. Studley, which has long represented MDC Partners in 10 Hudson Sq. deals, brokered this deal as well. Trinity Real Estate was represented in-house by Tom Lynch.
“Studley was very pleased to secure a location that gives Relevent the extraordinary opportunity to cross-pollinate and collaborate with its new MDC neighbors at 10 Hudson Sq., while taking advantage of all that this burgeoning neighborhood has to offer,” said Studley executive managing director Daniel Horowitz in a prepared statement.
The MDC neighbors Horowitz references are social marketing and communications firm Attention, PR firm Kwittken & Co., ad agency Vitro and marketing firm Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners, the building’s largest tenant.
10 Hudson Sq. is a former warehouse and printing facility. Horowitz said that “its large, arched windows, high ceilings and dramatic Hudson Square views” were appealing to “a company as inventive and creative as Relevent.”
