Christ Hospital Leases 152,000-SF MOB

CINCINNATI-The health system announced Monday that it will fill the former Ohio National Life Insurance headquarters, which will undergo a $20 million renovation project.

CINCINNATI-Christ Hospital has announced plans to move a portion of its campus to the 152,000-square-foot former Ohio National Life Insurance headquarters building in the Mt. Auburn neighborhood. The hospital will lease the building on 5 acres at 237 William Howard Taft, which was recently purchased for about $6.1 million by local developer Al. Neyer Inc.

Susan Croushore, hospital president and CEO, said in a statement that the health system will use the space for non-clinical offices and support functions. The employees will move in between spring and summer, she said. “We realize that many of our non-clinical and support functions could be provided more efficiently at a location separate from the hospital,” she said. “The Taft building is an ideal location for this, as it allows these non-clinical departments to remain right here in the Mt. Auburn community, which has been our home since 1893.”
