NEW YORK CITY-Restaurateur Danny Meyer hopes to next take on the Hudson Yards on Manhattan’s West Side and has enlisted more than a little bit of help to do so. His catering, culture, sports, and events business, Union Square Events has partnered with the Related Cos. in an effort to reach key markets, according to a statement.

Hudson Yards, the 26-acre, mixed-use development, is slated to contain over 13 million square feet of commercial and residential space. It is anticipated that Union Square Events will program a number of the spaces at the location, and that Related’s partnership stake in the company will facilitate new development.

Stephen M. Ross, chairman and CEO of Related Cos., said in a prepared statement that “Related and Union Square Events share a customer-focused culture and are known for their commitment to service, innovation and great design.”

Similarly, Meyer added that “partnering with Related provides an extraordinary opportunity for Union Square Events to parlay the fantastic foundation we’ve built into something quite significant.”

Meyer’s Union Square Events is responsible for big name culinary outlets like Box Frites, Shake Shack and El Verano Taquer
