HOUSTON-Sterling University Housing has teamed up with the Northwest Arkansas-based Specialized Real Estate Group to build two new, green, student housing developments at the University of Arkansas’ Fayetteville campus. According to a recent statement, the new buildings will contain a total of 1,232 bedrooms and the first property will be open for students to coincide with the 2013-14 academic year. It is anticipated that the second phase of development will be open to students by 2014-15.

Construction on phase one of the project will kick off in Spring 2012. Sterling is looking for LEED Silver certification upon completion. Each student housing community will have one, two and four-bedroom residences available for students.
