
WASHINGTON, DC-Redwood City, California-based Equinix Inc. is planning to spend $109 million to expand its data centers in the Washington area. The company will open a new data center at its Ashburn Campus in the beginning of 2013.
The first phase of the data center, to be named DC 11, will be constructed at a cost of $88 million and the second phase will cost $21 million. The data center operator is expecting to open the first phase in the next 45 days. For the full story, go to Washington Business Journal .
