NEW YORK CITY-After garnering a $160 construction loan, progress at Edward J. Minskoff’s spec office building at 51 Astor Place is moving forward. The developer has launched a new website with renderings and information, according to Curbed. Check them out below:

The building will have a public plaza on the corner of Astor Place and Third Avenue, near the 6 train station.

In a previous interview with GlobeSt.com after closing the financing on the deal, Mark Edelstein, the New York-based chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Global Real Estate Finance Group, said that one tenant could occupy the 400,000 square-foot building or two 250,000 square-foot tenants. An unnamed source told Curbed that high-tech companies like Microsoft and IBM are looking into the site, but the information is not confirmed.

“In Minskoff’s building, he only needs one or two tenants and that building has a great branding opportunity for a tech company or life science firm,” Edelstein told GlobeSt.com. “The feeling is before that building is built, Minskoff will have it filled up.”
