NEWPORT BEACH, CA-Locally based Turner Real Estate Investments has promoted Jason Korengold to director of acquisitions. Korengold has worked with the team at Turner Real Estate Investments for two years, and previously had been the firm’s VP of investment management.

“Jason continues to impress our investment team with his ability to source, analyze and close transactions that deliver value to our portfolio and returns to our investors,” explains Rusty Turner, president and CEO of Turner Real Estate Investments.

As director of acquisitions, Korengold will play a larger role in sourcing commercial real estate projects for Turner Real Estate Investments. The firm’s funds comprise balanced portfolios of commercial real estate asset types in the Western US.

“I look forward to playing a key role in expanding Turner Real Estate Investments’ presence in California, Arizona and Nevada and to growing our commercial real estate portfolio overall,” Korengold says.

In December, Korengold was integral to the Turner team’s successful completion of three complex transactions within a three-week time period, an achievement that underscores the firm’s ability to effectively source, quickly study and expeditiously close transactions—even in challenging markets, according to a prepared statement. Prior to joining Turner Real Estate Investments, Korengold worked for Makar Properties, where he served as an acquisitions analyst and development project manager for six years.
