(Mark Your Calendars: RealShare REAL ESTATE 2012, March 22nd in Los Angeles).

IRVINE, CA-Voit Real Estate Services has added Mark Read to the position of executive managing director. His primary responsibility will be managing and leading Voit’s Irvine office, though he will also oversee the company’s Orange County, Los Angeles and Inland Empire operations. The firm has also appointed Donald Morrow as managing director of the firm’s Phoenix operations.

Read brings more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry to Voit. In his new role, he will spearhead Voit’s brokerage, asset and property management operations in each of his assigned markets.

For the past 13 years, Read served as senior managing director for CBRE’s San Diego region. In this role, he oversaw more than 220 employees across multiple divisions including brokerage, asset services, corporate services, investment properties, debt and equity finance, valuation and advisory services, and project management. Prior to this, Read served as a managing director of CBRE’s North San Diego office.

According to Robert D. Voit, CEO of Voit, “Mark’s experience in integrating business lines across multiple divisions will be beneficial to our brokers and asset services providers, as well as our clients. He will be a vital asset in fueling the ongoing success of our teams in Orange County, Los Angeles and the Inland Empire.”

Voit tells GlobeSt.com that the firm is still looking for a managing director in the Inland Empire, Anaheim and Commerce.

Over in Phoenix, Morrow will oversee all aspects of Voit’s operations in the Phoenix market, including brokerage, asset and property management. “Over the past year, Voit’s Phoenix office has more than doubled the size of its brokerage to meet the increasing demand of new assignments,” Voit says, noting that the addition of Morrow will help meet its clients’ needs in the Phoenix market.

Prior to joining Voit, Morrow served as a partner at Biltmore Holdings and will bring this owner’s perspective to providing integrated real estate services that build value. In this role, he was responsible for the creation and execution of business plans; and acquisition and disposition activities, among other things.

Between 1977 and 2007, Morrow served in increasing positions of responsibility at Grubb & Ellis. He began his career as an investment sales specialist in the industrial, office and retail markets, and later worked in a variety of capacities including managing director for both the Phoenix and San Diego markets. In addition, Morrow served as Western Regional president for the firm, where he oversaw operations for 22 Grubb & Ellis offices. Morrow completed his tenure with Grubb & Ellis as a managing principal and Partner in the company’s Phoenix office.
