Carter Named CEO and President of ALM

NEW YORK CITY-The veteran information services executive replaces William Pollak, who served as president and CEO of GlobeSt.com’s parent company from 1998 until last month.

NEW YORK CITY-ALM, publisher of The National Law Journal, Real Estate Forum, GlobeSt.com and several other legal and real estate news titles, has named Bill Carter its president and chief executive officer.

Carter, 44, is a veteran of the legal information services industry. He was most recently a senior vice president at Thomson Reuters, where for two years he led the Small Law Business Unit. He has also been a senior executive at LexisNexis, legal technology company Epiq Systems, consulting firm Gerson Lehrman Group, and events and marketing firm GES Exposition Services. From 1997 to 1999, he was a consultant with Bain & Co.
