One Kings Lane Inks 52,000-SF Lease

SAN FRANCISCO-The mayor’s office reports that One Kings Lane will be moving into 52,000 square feet of space in the San Francisco Furniture Mart Building at 1355 Market St. here. Those who follow @GlobeStcom on Twitter may have seen a post teasing the announcement yesterday: “A reliable source says a 50,000 square foot lease is in the works at #Shoernstein’s Market Square by a growing online firm. “ Today, the office confirmed the rumors and further highlighted details of the new lease: One Kings Lane will approximately triple its current space of 16,630 square feet in South of Market.

Not only is this move indicative of the company’s growth, but it also speaks to larger neighborhood revitalization efforts, according to the Mayor. “The decision by One Kings Lane to move from South of Market and expand in Central Market is another major sign that our strategies to revitalize the neighborhood with new jobs and technology are working,” Lee was quoted as saying. He expressed that this move was also quite “fitting” considering the wave of the future – an online company – was moving into Old San Francisco.
