LOS ANGELES-Provider of commercial real estate and capital-markets services Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP has hired Michael Ross as a senior managing director in its office here. Ross will focus on office, industrial and land-investment sales transactions in the Greater Los Angeles area and West Coast.

“Mike has broad, long-term relationships in this market across asset classes, primarily here in L.A., but also across the West Coast,” Paul Brindley, senior managing director for HFF, tells GlobeSt.com. “He’s got great experience, and is well regarded and well respected.”
The hiring of Ross indicates an expansion of HFF’s West Coast investment-sales platform, which began about 24 months ago, Brindley continues. “We really only had one person 24 months ago, and now we have nearly 20 investment-sales producers. Mike is the fifth addition to HFF’s growing West Coast platform of investment-sales professionals in the past five months, and he is looking forward to being back with his former partners, Richard Plummer and Andrew Harper, who joined HFF in September 2011.”

Ross has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate and has closed more than $6 billion in institutional property sales throughout his career. Prior to joining HFF, Ross was an EVP in Grubb & Ellis’ institutional capital markets group. Before that, he was a managing director at Colliers International and Coldwell Banker Commercial. He has also served as chairman of investment properties for the Association of Industrial Realtors, and is a member of Urban Land Institute as well as a licensed California real estate broker.
