JERSEY CITY-Cushman & Wakefield has orchestrated a headquarters expansion and lease extension for Antenna Software at the Newport Financial Center in Jersey City, increasing the company’s presence by more than 50 percent to 22,000 square feet.
The company has opened or expanded five offices in the last 12 months, and this is the second transaction handled by C&W.
“As an innovative leader in the growing mobile market, Antenna Software continues to expand very rapidly, requiring the additional space and facilities,” says Peter Hamburger, a member of the team that represented the tenant. “This transaction, a 10-year lease, included a two-and-half year extension of the company’s existing lease.”
Harlan Hollander and Walter Schoenberg were members of the East Rutherford-based C&W team along with Hamburger. Owner Newport Center/ Ltd. Partners, an affiliate of The LeFrak Organization, was represented by Thomas Traugott, its in-house regional leasing director.
Antenna Software helps organizations create and manage mobile apps, websites and content across their entire business platforms. The company, which provides services via its Antenna Mobility Platform (AMP), recently developed an app for C&W, marketed through AT&T’s Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP). The CW mobile app allows brokers to offer clients an enhanced and innovative real estate-viewing experience using mobile devices.
"Mobility is becoming a strategic imperative for a growing number of enterprises that want to differentiate their brand and enhance customer interactions and relationships, and Cushman & Wakefield is no exception," says Jim Somers, chief marketing and strategy officer at Antenna. “The CW mobile application is a great example of the myriad benefits mobility provides, helping companies capitalize on new opportunities and serve their customers.”
The Newport Financial Center is part of LeFrak’s Newport mixed-use development on the Hudson River waterfront in Jersey City. The 500,000-square-foot building offers IT infrastructure supporting financial institutions, telecommunications companies, and managed/cloud service providers.
