NEW YORK CITY-A construction worker was killed and two others were injured after a century-old building owned by Columbia University collapsed earlier this morning during the demolition of the property, DNAinfo reported. The site--located at 604-606 W. 131st St.--falls under the university's Manhattanville campus expansion plan.

In a statement on Twitter, the New York City Department of Buildings has ordered all work stopped at the site until inspection and investigation is complete.
