HOUSTON-A growing number of Transwestern clients operating in international markets ultimately led to the locally based company seeking out – and finding – an international partner to help meet those clients’ needs. The commercial real estate unit of BNP Paribas became that partner because of familiarity with the French company in a deal announced earlier this week.

“We did talk to and considered a number of alternatives, but when doing work oversees, our people have worked with the BNP leadership over an extended period of time,” comments COO Mark Doran who with Transwestern West Coast president George Garfield, is overseeing the joint venture on the US side. “They offered diversified capabilities, they were synching up well with us and their geographical reach was a great fit for our expansion,” Doran adds.
