DENVER-Opus Development Corp. has been awarded a build-to-suit contract to develop, design and construct the new 165,000-square-foot worldwide headquarters for the TriZetto Group Inc. here. The $110-million construction project will generate between 400 and 500 construction jobs.

A ceremony was recently hosted at the site with Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Trace Devanny, chairman and CEO of the TriZetto Group, and Mike Fitzgerald, president and CEO of the Southeast Business Partnership, revealing TriZetto’s plans for its new worldwide headquarters.

“We are extremely pleased to be selected as a partner to work with TriZetto, a company that shows a commitment to Colorado and job growth, to design and construct a headquarters facility that suits the company culture and projected growth” explained Marshall Burton, senior vice president and general manager for Opus Development Corp. “The potential for rapid, sustainable growth over the next several years combined with a commitment to the state of Colorado speaks highly of TriZetto as a local company.”

The four-story, single tenant building will be located in the Meridian International Business Center in Douglas County. Designed with a precast and glass exterior, the building will feature balconies and patios with mountain views, an employee cafeteria, approximately 740 parking spaces, and proximity to a golf course.

Construction will be completed early next year and employees will move into the new facility in spring 2013.Opus Design Build LLC will construct the facility, Opus AE Group will serve as the architect and engineer of record and Open Studio Architecture is the design architect.
