DALLAS-Sources have confirmed to GlobeSt.com that Moody Younger, executive managing director, Texas, of Grubb & Ellis Co. has resigned from the company. The confirmation comes on the heels of BGC's acquisition of Grubb & Ellis' assets, and its formation of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

Younger could not immediately be reached for comment, though those who worked with him are confident he will land on his feet. “He’s a great guy, was well-regarded by the brokers, and will be a great asset wherever he ends up,” George Cushing, managing director, retail investment sales for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Houston office tells GlobeSt.com. Cushing and partner Wendy Vandeventer joined JLL last summer from Grubb & Ellis.

Younger rejoined Grubb & Ellis in 2008 as executive managing director for the state of Texas with oversight of Oklahoma, Arkansas and northern Mexico. During his career, Younger also was managing director with CB Richard Ellis/Trammell Crow Co.; acquisitions director with Stream Realty Partners and regional vice president with Transwestern. From 2004 to 2006, Younger was executive vice president and managing director with Grubb & Ellis.
