AURORA, IL-Liberty Property Trust has signed two leases to fill its 901 Bilter Rd. building here, a 607,752 industrial property that is part of Liberty Business Center. XpedX signed a new lease, and existing tenant Rockpoint Logistics took up the rest of the open space in the 7-year-old facility.
Packing company xpedx signed a lease for 316,200 square feet, and will relocate from an existing building in Glendale Heights, IL. George Pappas with Hartford Associates represented the firm in the deal.
Rockpoint, a division of Logistics Solutions Holdings, added 72,269 square feet to take up the rest of the building. David Friedland with Newmark Knight Frank/Epic represented the tenant.
Jim Estes, Jeff Kapcheck and Mark Bell represented Liberty in both transactions. Don Schoenheider, VP for the Malvern, PA-based Liberty’s Chicago region, said in a statement that there has been a significant interest increase in large industrial buildings. “Those spaces have been absorbed very quickly over the past six to nine months,” he said.
