SECAUCUS, NJ—Hartz Mountain Industries is expanding its residential portfolio with a 116-unit building called Osprey Cove, opening in June in Secaucus. The building set in a wildlife area in the Meadowlands will be managed by Roseland Property Co.’s management division.

Hartz and Roseland are also partners in the construction and management of a multi-family project in Weehawken, The Estuary that is underway now. Hartz only dove into the residential market last year, but its multi-family portfolio has already grown to more than 4,000 units.

Osprey Cove is located at 45 Meadowland Parkway, adjacent to Snipes Park, in an area that is a favorite with bird watchers. It is a LEED-certified building, designed to complement the Meadowlands’ rejuvenated ecosystem and its abundant wildlife. Hartz is also adding a dog park at Snipes.

“Osprey Cove is in the heart of Secaucus, making it convenient for those commuting to the city or other parts of New Jersey while offering access to the shops, dining and great school system that Secaucus has to offer,” says Carl Goldberg, managing partner for Roseland, based in Morristown. “It’s also perfect for those who like to enjoy hiking, bird watching and other outdoor activities that can be enjoyed right here in the Meadowlands.”

Units at the boutique-style apartment community, offering studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, feature high-end appointments. Resident amenities include a club room with Wi-Fi access, a 24-hour fitness center, business center, and on-site and nearby parking for residents and guests. Monthly rents range from $1,567 to $2,266.
