MILWAUKEE-Colliers International has taken over the local brokerage and property management operations of Inland Cos. Scott Welsh is president of the local company. Tom Murray is Colliers’ managing director for the central region.

The total 50 employees of both Inland divisions will keep their jobs, according to Murray. “As we continue to expand our footprint in the Midwest, we see Inland Cos. as the right partner to give us the edge and expertise in the Wisconsin market,” he said in a statement.

The local brokers completed about 300 transactions in 2011, totaling more than $160 million. The property management division oversees a portfolio of about six million square feet, with tenants such as Commonwealth REIT, Anchor Bank, Clarion Partners, Orix Capital Markets and CBL Properties.

Mike Fardy, partner and COO at Inland Milwaukee, also will switch to Colliers. However, the local Inland Construction and Protech divisions were not included in the deal, and will continue to operate as Inland. “We are thrilled about this transition and look forward to the next phase of growth with Colliers,” Welsh said in the statement.
