LAS VEGAS-Konami Digital Entertainment has purchased its 114,500-square-foot gaming development center here from a partnership led by Irvine, CA-based CIP Real Estate. The property, in the Hughes Airport Center business park, was sold for an undisclosed amount.

Eric Smyth, a principal at CIP, said the buyer is expanding its operations in the city. “The acquisition made sense given the company’s plans for the building,” he said in a statement.

The building is at 585 Trade Center Dr., just south of McCarron Airport. A joint venture of CIP and Buchanan Street Partners sold the property, and the seller represented itself.

Smyth said the transaction, and other recent sales by CIP in the Hughes park, illustrate a strong investor and user interest in Las Vegas industrial property. His company still owns or manages more than 1.2 million square feet of buildings in the park.
