CINCINNATI-Locally based Proctor & Gamble Co., the largest consumer packaged goods company in the world, has agreed to continue Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle’s contract to handle major firm’s facility management, project development, construction management and strategic occupancy planning across 60 countries. The deal servicing several million square feet of offices and technical facilities is for five years.
P&G, which reported $82.6 billion in sales last year, has operations in about 80 countries. A JLL spokeswoman tells GlobeSt.com that “confidentiality restrictions” won’t allow her to comment on the square footage, or why the deal doesn’t include the 20 other locations. “There may be other providers involved on some level with P&G's real estate group, but there are no other providers involved in the global facilities management contract,” she says.
The deal is a continuation of when P&G first outsourced its management, in a contract with JLL in 2003. Back then, the first five-year deal was reportedly for $70 million per year to manage 14 million square feet at 165 sites, including 50 in North America and the company’s headquarters offices.
Joe Stolarski, the global account executive for the portfolio, was not available Tuesday to talk to GlobeSt.com for comment. “Our focus is now on driving productivity and innovation at P&G through real estate portfolio optimization, total workplace design and advanced analytics,” he said in a JLL statement. Other JLL Corporate Solutions clients include Harris Bank and McDonald’s.
