LOS ANGELES-GlobeSt.com has exclusively learned that Cushman & Wakefield has promoted Scott Steuber to a director, working out of the firm’s downtown office here. Steuber joined C&W in 2004 and has completed more than 3 million square feet of leasing transactions since that time.
“Scott provides uniquely custom service to clients,” says Ted Simpson, executive director at C&W. “He has added value on a consistent basis, closing advantageous transactions on behalf of his growing client base.”
Specializing in tenant-representation services, Steuber helps corporations and real estate investors with their local, national and international leases, sales, financing and construction projects. He also manages entire corporate real estate portfolios for several clients by monitoring critical dates, rental increases and operating expense pass-throughs. He leverages his LEED expertise to offer his clients a green perspective on all assignments and suggestions regarding environmental considerations.
A spokesperson from C&W tells GlobeSt.com that Steuber's former position was associate director in the same office, and he had similar responsibilities to his new title. His promotion is a recognition of his performance.
C&W has expanded its California presence considerably in recent months. As GlobeSt.com previously reported, earlier this month the firm hired a veteran team of investment brokers specializing in apartment sales and high-density multifamily development sites to help in the expansion of its investment-sales services in Northern California. All six of the new hires were formerly with CBRE. The group, led by Todd Vitzthum as executive director, includes Jeremy Cline, director; Simon Herrman, director; Rawley Nielsen, director; Jason Parr, director; and Mike Nguyen, client services. Vitzthum and his team have worked as lead advisors on several high-profile multifamily assignments throughout the Bay area. In addition, in April GlobeSt.com exclusively learned that Dee Eckman had been named a director in Cushman & Wakefield’s corporate-occupier and investor-services department here, where she oversees and expands the firm’s managed portfolio of industrial properties in Southern California.
