NEW YORK CITY-Retail brokerage Winick Realty Group LLC has been selected by SL Green Realty Corp. and the Moinian Group to market 36,000 square feet of retail space at 3 Columbus Circle on an exclusive basis, GlobeSt.com has confirmed. Winick’s CEO Jeff Winick and EVP Lori Shabtai, along with associate directors Kelly Gedinsky and Michael Gleicher, will work on behalf of the joint venture partners to market the space, which boasts frontage on both 57^th Street and Eighth Avenue.

Steven Durels, director of leasing and real property at SL Green, tells GlobeSt.com in an e-mail that the JV chose Winick for its expertise in the retail business. “We have great respect for Winick Realty Group's marketing creativity and look forward to their high energy as we present the single best retail opportunity available in today’s market,” he says.

The retail assignment comes several months after Moinian and SL Green announced a joint partnership upon a $250 million recapitalization of the office tower in January 2011. Moinian, an owner/developer of 20 million square feet of commercial office, residential and hotel properties nationwide, planned to reposition the vacant property at Broadway and Eighth Avenue between 57th and 58th streets as class A office space nearly seven years ago.
