LAS VEGAS-Whether it was at the ICSC RECon2012 opening gala, Lee & Associates, Faris Lee Investment, Jones Lang LaSalle, or NewMark Merrill Cos., GlobeSt.com was there to help celebrate. We learned from L.A.-based NewMark Merrill Cos. president and CEO that the firm continues to focus on growing its third-party property management business “as landlord realize the value of an experienced firm to attract and retain tenants.” Additionally, the firm is actively looking to acquire retail properties with three purchases already this year. At Lee & Associates, we learned that the firm is actively recruiting new talent. And at JLL, Peter Belisle II, southwest market director, based in the L.A. office, tells GlobeSt.com that the firm is continuing to grow its offices in Southern California, having hired two senior landlord leasing brokers in Orange County in the past two months with more expected in L.A., O.C. and San Diego in the coming months.
