Mount Sinai Inks 75,000 SF Lease in Downtown Brooklyn

NEW YORK CITY-Mount Sinai Medical Center, in partnership with Westchester County-based WESTMED Practice Partners, will construct a new outpatient medical office at One Pierrepont Plaza within Forest City Ratner’s MetroTech complex in Downtown Brooklyn, the company officially announced in a statement after Crain’s New York Business broke the news back in April. Slated to open in January 2013, Mount Sinai’s Brooklyn Heights Medical Group will occupy 75,000 square feet on the 17^th and 18^th floors of the 19-story building for a 15-year term, where it will offer services such as primary and secondary care, diagnostic services and urgent care. The space was formerly occupied by Goldman Sachs.

A spokesman from Cushman & Wakefield confirms to GlobeSt.com that Jonathan Serko and David Malawer from C&W represented Mount Sinai on the deal, while a spokesman for CBRE says Howard Fiddle, Evan Haskell, Keith Caggiano and Roshan Shah repped Forest City. Asking rents, however, could not be confirmed in-time for deadline.
