MONTREAL-The Ritz Carlton Montreal reopened Monday after a four-year, $200 million renovation. The hotel, known as one of the most prestigious hotels in Canada, opened 100 years ago as the first property in North America to bear the brand.
The hotel, run by the Marriott subsidiary, is owned by Manaco Luxury Hotels and Resorts. Though the property was once frequented by movie stars and country leaders, Manaco closed the fading hotel in 2008 for the massive rebuilding effort.
