NEW YORK CITY-In yet another in the trend of upper-echelon executives trading up, Mark Jaccom has been appointed to the role of president and managing principal of Cresa New York. He will also be serving on the company’s Board of Directors, according to Cresa.
Jaccom of course was most recently co-chairman of the Tri-State region at Colliers International, where he grew the region’s market share and helped integrate it into the Colliers network. He previously worked at Studley Inc., spearheading the company’s Corporate Services and Industrial Services Groups and helping to secure many high-profile national accounts.
A spokesman for Colliers says the firm has no comment. Last month, GlobeSt.com reported that Colliers had hired Joseph Harbert, COO of the New York region at Cushman & Wakefield, to serve as president of the firm’s Eastern region. And at the RealShare New Jersey Opportunities Breakfast on Tuesday, Arthur Mirante made his first public appearance since switching flags from C&W to Avison Young.
Jaccom’s duties will include for overseeing and growing the firm’s brokerage services in Manhattan and the other boroughs, while working with affiliated corporate offices around the country. He brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience to the role, having managed many corporate accounts and clients including Capital One Bank, Cigna, Citibank, Charles Schwab, CMP Publishing, Colgate-Palmolive, John Wiley & Sons, Publicis, Toshiba, Willis, and Verizon.
In a Cresa New York statement, Jaccom was quoted as saying: “Cresa has an incredible opportunity here in New York to expand its presence and stake its position as the ultimate brokerage firm for tenants looking for comprehensive offerings, stellar service, integrity and a commitment to do what is not only smart, but is in the best interest of those we serve.”
