IRVINE, CA-Two grocery-anchored shopping centers and a Panera Bread have sold in different cities within Southern California, the restaurant property in Temecula, CA, fetching a landmark $560 per square foot. The two necessity-based shopping centers, Marketplace @ Palm Desert in Palm Desert, CA, and Seabridge Marketplace in Oxnard, CA, represented nearly 190,000 square feet.
The Marketplace, a 96,463-square-foot shopping center previously owned by the Rinker Co. of Newport Beach, is located at 78206 Varner Rd. and sold for $22.85 million. The property, bought by Marketplace LP of Orange, CA, is anchored by Stater Bros. and Walgreens and features other notable tenants including True Value Hardware, El Paseo Bank, Mario’s Italian Caf
