NEW YORK CITY-Honors were handed out last night at the 101 Club by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) to award the Retail Deal of the Year. The two awards handed out were given to deals executed both in Times Square and the Financial District.

"The Most Creative Deal in Manhattan" award was given to Cushman & Wakefield's C. Bradley Mendelson and Alan Schmerzler for bringing a 4-D cinema to the Times Square Theatre on 42nd Street. The deal took two years to get done, and a full restoration is planned for the 1920s-era building.

"The Retail Deal Which Most Significantly Benefits the Manhattan Retail Market" was handed to Scott Bloom of Bloom Real Estate. He executed a lease that will bring a 24-hour Key Food to 55 Fulton Street that will serve the growing population in the neighborhood.
