IRVINE, CA-Locally based Thompson National Properties LLC has promoted James R. Wolford to president and chief operating officer. In addition to his new responsibilities, Wolford will continue to serve as executive vice president and chief financial officer of TNP, as well as treasurer and secretary of TNP Strategic Retail Trust.

TNP has also promoted three other professionals, including Ryan Lodes, who will serve as senior vice president of sales and national sales manager, Brian Sidman, who will serve as senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Don Ferrari, who as senior vice president will lead relationship management.

According to Tony Thompson, CEO of the firm, Wolford will oversee the day-to-day operations and “has demonstrated tremendous leadership and provided insightful decision-making since joining the company, helping to sustain our growth as an organization.”

Prior to joining TNP in March 2011, Wolford served as CFO of Pacific Office Properties, where he evaluated and eliminated more than $1 million in annual corporate expenses and successfully negotiated a $125 million credit facility. Additionally, he was involved in the development and successful filing of an S-11 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a $350 million secondary offering of primary common shares, according to a prepared statement. Prior to his time with Pacific Office Properties, Wolford was CFO at Bixby Land Co. and a consultant and regional financial officer at AIMCO.

As senior vice president of sales and national sales manager, Lodes will oversee internal and external sales for TNP. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, he served as director of internal sales for Griffin Capital Securities, where he focused on educating financial advisors and their clients through hosted seminars and industry conferences. Lodes previously served as regional marketing director with CORE Realty Holdings LLC, managing the inside sales team.

In his new role, Sidman will assist Lodes with the execution of internal and external sales, the marketing of TNP Strategic Retail Trust and all professional training for presentations. Prior to joining TNP in February 2011, Sidman was the director of business development at Pella Windows. Previously, he specialized in commercial real estate investment sales, where he was involved in development transactions as a brokerage professional for GFI Realty.

Ferrari’s role will expand to include the oversight of relationship management, acting as a national company ambassador to the independent broker-dealer community, according to a prepared statement. With more than 50 years of experience in the financial services and investment industries, Ferrari began his career at Dean Witter in San Francisco. He also has held senior positions at Amador Financial Group and Grubb & Ellis Securities Inc., formerly known as NNN Capital Corp., where he and his team raised more than $500 million through the independent broker-dealer channel. Most recently, Ferrari was national marketing director at Caerus Hospitality, a limited liability company that invests in hotel properties in the southwestern US.
