(Save the date: RealShare New Jersey comes to the Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick, NJ, September 19.)

JERSEY CITY-Vigilant Inc., a business security firm, has taken the entire eighth floor at 15 Exchange Pl. in Jersey City, signing for an 11,048-square-foot office sublease and a 2,818-square-foot new lease. The transaction was arranged by Colliers International New Jersey.

Vigilant, a provider of security monitoring and IT risk consulting services, is a growing company that required expanded space, says John Cahill, a Colliers managing director who represented the tenant along with Michael Tesser, a senior managing director.

Michael Witko of The Garibaldi Group represented Flextronics in its sublease of part of the new space Vigilant will occupy. Vigilant is scheduled to move to 15 Exchange Place this month.

“We are pleased that Vigilant was able to relocate and expand at 15 Exchange Place, one of the premiere office properties in the sought-after Exchange Place business district,” says Cahill.

Owned by Hartz Mountain, Exchange Place offers unobstructed views of Downtown Manhattan and is located adjacent to the New York Waterway Ferry Service, the Exchange Place PATH station and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. The property is also convenient to Newark Liberty International Airport.
