PHILADELPHIA-Jones Lang LaSalle has brought in investment sales expert Jim Vesey to lead its Capital Markets team in Philadelphia, where market activity is heightening.
Vesey, who has more than 20 years’ experience as an owner, investor and broker, joined the firm as a managing director. The team he now leads is part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Quad State regional team spearheaded by Joe Garibaldi and Dave Wojciechowski. The Quad State team handles investment sales in suburban New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
Vesey is also teaming up with Philadelphia Market Director Mike McCurdy to continue expansion of JLL’s client services in the city.
“The investment sales market has truly intensified in the city in recent months and we expect Jim will be able to capitalize on the firm’s global platform to continue that growth for clients,” said McCurdy in a release.
Vesey has headed his own investment company, Vesey Capital, which he founded in Pennsylvania in 2008. Prior to that, Vesey spent 15 years as the head of Capital Markets for Cushman & Wakefield in Philadelphia.
“Jim knows the Philadelphia market inside and out, and will utilize his broad market experience to grow the firm’s overall platform and align the firm’s business to meet the needs of growing client demand,” said Garibaldi. “He brings a unique twist to his role, as a former owner and investor. He’s been on the other side of the fence and truly understands how to add value to our clients and capitalize on prime opportunities.”
Vesey has completed more than $4 billion in transactions over the course of his career. A former CPA, he has taught at Villanova University’s DiLella School of Real Estate for the past five years. Vesey also sits on the board of trustees for the University of the Arts.
