CENTRAL VALLEY, CA-GlobeSt.com has exclusively learned that Hendricks & Partners is opening two new Central Valley offices as part of its expansion plans in the area. The multifamily investment firm has hired Robin C. Kane as SVP to lead the opening of the new Fresno office and Mark J. Bonas as SVP to lead the opening of the Bakersfield office.
Kane, a 33-year multifamily veteran in the area with career sales in excess of $400 million, served as the founder and partner at RCK Organization, a multifamily real estate advisory firm, prior to joining Hendricks. His extensive apartment-brokerage experience and expert knowledge will be strategic assets to the firm’s ongoing expansion from Southern to Central to Northern California.
“This new relationship brings to life what is often talked about, sometimes scoffed at and almost never realized—a win-win,” said Kane in a prepared statement. “I am excited to help lead the company’s expansion into Central California.”
Hendricks president Brent Long commented that clients familiar with the firm, including institutions, private investment firms, major loan servicing firms and federal and state lending institutions, have conducted business with Kane for years in the Fresno area. “We look forward to providing those same clients with even more support as we welcome Robin, his team and their wealth of expertise to our firm.”
Bonas, who has 27 years of experience in the Central Valley multifamily market, was previously a VP with CBRE’s affiliate office in Bakersfield, specializing in the sale of multifamily properties primarily in the Central Valley markets, including San Joaquin and the Antelope Valleys as well as California’s Central Coast. A market leader in the mid to large private-capital arena, Bonas has been involved in many notable sales during his career, including the 320-unit, class-A Cambridge Village Apartments (twice), the 24-unit Pine Brook Apartments (twice), the 223-unit, three-property Matsumoto portfolio and the 128-unit, class-A Villa Sienna Apartments, all in Northeast Bakersfield. Additionally, Bonas successfully marketed and closed two Bascom Group properties located in Bakersfield totaling 198 units and a 122-unit property in Fresno.
“I look forward to employing Hendricks & Partners research and marketing solutions to optimize value, shorten marketing times and provide the best overall experience for my clients,” said Bonas. Prior to his tenure at CBRE, Bonas specialized in mortgage financing.
“Mark’s in-depth knowledge of the local market, coupled with his extensive experience, will be essential to our ongoing expansion throughout California,” Long commented.
As GlobeSt.com exclusively learned and previously reported, in June Kyle Hunt of Hendricks’ Seattle office represented seller Broadway's End Associates LLC, a limited liability company, in the sale of 700 Broadway Ave. East there. The 59-unit apartment community was sold for $20.25 million or $343,220 per unit.
