JERSEY CITY-Commercial real estate activity on this side of the water has been booming as of late. Plenty of new multifamily and office properties are dotting the Jersey City skyline and along with these developments come plenty of corporate moves.

The LeFrak Organzation recently revealed that Brian Decillis has been hired as the company’s new regional leasing director for the Newport/Jersey City area. According to a company release, Decillis will be integral in the company’s launch of Pier Six, a build-to-suit, state-of-the-art office property. Upon his appointment, Decillis will be responsible for leasing and marketing several office, data center and co-location spaces at 111 Town Square Place in Newport. The spaces up for grabs range from 1,000 rentable square feet to 40,000 rentable square feet.

Prior to this position, Decillis worked at the Mack-Cali corporation where he was the senior director of leasing.  In his new role, he will report to Marylou Berk, head of commercial real estate at the LeFrak Organization, who describes his experience as “invaluable to the company.”
