The three commercial real estate powerhouses took home trophies from the New York Energy Consumers Council during the organization’s 2012 “Energy New York Awards” on Monday evening at the trendy Tribeca Rooftop in Lower Manhattan.

The council, which recognizes companies and individuals who have demonstrated leadership in energy efficiency and economic competitiveness, selected Tishman’s managing director of engineering, Stephen Latargia, NYU Langone’s SVP of facilities management Paul Schwabacher and president of Jack Resnick & Sons Jonathan Resnick as the big winners of the night for achieving significant cost savings and energy reductions in their respective portfolios.

Latargia (pictured, center) was determined to decrease energy waste across Tishman’s 60 million-square-foot portfolio. Through his efforts, Latargia developed a strategic approach to managing energy consumption by developing an approach based on real time energy data and the implementation of operational changes resulting in energy reduction measures.
